In 2000, The Commanderie des
Costes du Rhone created its first baronnie in the United
States in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
This was a result of a
meeting between the leadership of the Commanderie at Suze la
Rousse, Patrick Galant from the University of the wine, Claude
Foussard, Consul of Montreal, and Bernard Guet, the General
Manager of the Park Hyatt Hotel in Philadelphia. Mr. Guet, a
native of France, created a wine cellar at the Park Hyatt of
great repute.
